Description
This redevelopment of a former PG&E gas recovery site began in 2000 with D. R. YOUNG ASSOCIATES (in association with Wilson / Equity Office) serving as Development Manager. The effort converted an environmentally constrained location into a modern, functional corporate campus. Among the challenges faced during this $56M project was a complete environmental restoration of the property—an effort involving the removal of contaminated soils, groundwater remediation and extensive soil import in order to cap the entire site with new, uncompromised material. The result was the high-profile first phase of what will eventually be a complex featuring five buildings and two parking structures.
