- Description
- One of Silicon Valley’s first transit oriented developments was built on the site of the original Fairchild Semiconductor facility. The location is now home to the 425,000 square-foot corporate headquarters for Symantec—thanks to one of the Bay Area's largest brownfield restorations. Developed by Veritas Software and built on an EPA-designated Superfund Site, the project required extensive groundwater and soil remediation as well as complex legal clearances to allow the project to proceed. D. R. YOUNG ASSOCIATES (in association with Ernst & Young / Kenneth Leventhal) served as Design/Entitlement Manager, helping to return a modern corporate campus to the place where Silicon Valley began.
